Let’s take a quick break from vogue 9929 for a blast from the past: simplicity 5232!
This one was the very first one I made, as well as I still take it out every when in a while, even though it doesn’t in shape rather best (I shortened the bodice as well much, so the waist is a bit high):
I utilized some rickrack on the collar (don’t concern I still have plenty left):
Here’s the back, I truly like the yoke although of program it’s like five “extra” steps (when compared to a yokeless dress):

I put cording in the front seam, for no great reason other than since I felt like it:

This was part of my material haul from Japan. I still have a number of pieces from that haul I haven’t even sewed up yet … as well as one I just utilized a couple of weeks ago.
Looking at this gown once again makes me want to make one more simplicity 5232 … it’s going on the list.
